Abstract: The present invention discloses an intelligent rainfall forecasting system employing Artificial Neural Network (ANN)-based predictive modelling for rainfall prediction using meteorological parameters. The system comprises a Data Acquisition Module configured to collect Day of Year, temperature, minimum temperature, humidity, and wind speed data, a Data Cleaning and Preprocessing Module configured to perform data cleaning, feature scaling, and dataset preparation, a Feature Selection Module configured to identify relevant meteorological attributes, an ANN Prediction Module configured with input, hidden, and output layers for rainfall classification, a Rainfall Prediction Module configured to classify rainfall occurrence as Rain or No Rain using probability values, and a User Interface Module configured for manual parameter entry, batch prediction through CSV file upload, real-time prediction display, and downloadable prediction results. The integrated forecasting framework automatically learns complex meteorological relationships and generates reliable rainfall predictions suitable for agricultural planning, environmental monitoring, weather forecasting, water resource management, and disaster preparedness.
