MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611075775 A) filed by Gla University, Mathura on June 18, 2026, for Intelligent Road Panel For Energy Harvesting And Vehicle Diagnostics.
Inventor includes Dr. Ravindra Pratap Singh.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an intelligent road panel (100) for energy harvesting and vehicle diagnostics. The intelligent road panel (100) comprises a surface wear layer (105), a load distribution layer (110), a piezoelectric transducer array (115), magnetic flux sensors (120), wiring and signal transmission channels (125), an embedded controller and data acquisition unit (130), an energy storage unit (135), and a concrete base or road foundation (140). Vehicle-induced mechanical stress is converted into electrical energy by the piezoelectric transducer array (115), while magnetic variations caused during vehicle passage are detected by the magnetic flux sensors (120). The embedded controller and data acquisition unit (130) acquires and processes piezoelectric and magnetic signals to extract features and perform diagnostic analysis for identifying vehicle conditions such as suspension fault, tire imbalance, and axle-load anomaly.
