Abstract: Water leakage in distribution pipelines and storage systems is a major challenge that leads to significant water loss, increased operational costs, infrastructure damage, and reduced resource efficiency. This project presents an Intelligent Water Leakage Detection System using a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) to provide continuous, real-time monitoring and early leak identification. The proposed system employs multiple wireless sensor nodes equipped with flow, pressure, and water level sensors strategically installed along pipelines. These sensor nodes collect operational data and transmit it wirelessly to a central monitoring unit using low-power communication technology. The collected data is analyzed using intelligent threshold-based and anomaly detection techniques to identify abnormal variations that indicate possible leakages. When a leak is detected, the system immediately generates alerts through a monitoring interface, enabling rapid maintenance and minimizing water wastage. The wireless architecture reduces installation complexity, lowers maintenance costs, and enables scalable deployment across large water distribution networks. The system also supports remote monitoring, allowing utility operators to access real-time information and improve decision-making.
