Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is an intraoral scan-registration apparatus comprising an arch-shaped body with marker-support islands spaced successively along the arch-shaped body. Each marker-support island comprises a marker seat and a peripheral body surrounding the marker seat. An inner longitudinal rail extends between inner junction regions of each adjacent pair of marker-support islands, and an outer longitudinal rail extends between spaced outer junction regions of the adjacent pair. At least two transverse webs extend between the inner and outer longitudinal rails within each inter-island segment. The inner longitudinal rail, the outer longitudinal rail, the transverse webs and mutually facing peripheral-body portions of the adjacent marker-support islands delimit at least three separate through-openings within each inter- island segment. The resulting structure provides distributed marker-support locations and a repeated cellular arrangement along the mandibular arch.
