The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: An inverter apparatus and a method for generating a multi-phase alternating current (AC) output voltage are provided. The inverter apparatus includes a direct current (DC) power source (104) and a transformer (116) having a primary winding (112) and at least one secondary winding (114). At least one controllable switching device is coupled between the DC power source (104) and the primary winding (112). The switching device stores energy in a magnetizing inductance of the transformer (116) during an ON state. The switching device transfers the stored energy through the secondary winding (114) during an OFF period to generate a boosted DC voltage. A multi-phase inverter stage receives the boosted DC voltage and comprises three phase legs (124, 126, 128). At least two cascaded H-bridge cells (150, 164) of each phase leg synthesize a multilevel AC output voltage. The phase legs collectively generate the multi-phase AC output voltage.
