Abstract: Abstract: The present invention discloses a Growth and Characterisation of New Non Linear Optical Bis-Glycine Hydro Bromide (BGHB) Single Crystal. Using the slow evaporation process, the material has been successfully grown. The material's solubility was assessed in a range of solvents, including water, acetone, and ethanol. Its solubility in ethanol and acetone was found to be quite low. The diffracting planes were identified and the powder diffraction was recorded in order to characterize the produced crystals. Using a single-crystal diffractometer, the BGHB crystal's morphology was determined. Thermogravimetric (TG) and differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) analyses, optical behavior such as UV-visible-NIR absorption, and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopic studies have demonstrated that BGHB is thermally stable up to 168.5°C and that there is no phase transition or decomposition until 168.5°C. When testing at various crystal planes using the Vickers hardness test, anisotropy in the hardness behavior was noted.
