Abstract: The present invention discloses an IoT and Machine Learning Based Sustainable Resource Optimization and Environmental Monitoring System for smart infrastructure. The system comprises a network of IoT-enabled sensors configured to collect real-time data relating to environmental conditions and resource utilization parameters, including temperature, humidity, air quality, energy consumption, water usage, occupancy, noise levels, and illumination intensity. The collected data is transmitted through a communication network to edge and/or cloud-based processing units for storage, analysis, and management. A machine learning analytics engine processes historical and real-time datasets to identify usage patterns, predict future resource demands, and detect anomalies associated with infrastructure operations. Based on the analytical outputs, an automated control module regulates connected systems such as lighting, HVAC, water management, irrigation, and renewable energy resources to improve operational efficiency and reduce resource wastage. The invention enables continuous environmental monitoring, intelligent decision-making, predictive resource management, and automated optimization, thereby enhancing sustainability, reducing operational costs, and supporting efficient management of smart buildings, industrial facilities, campuses, and urban infrastructure.
