Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for Internet of Things (IoT) authentication, especially for IoT authentication in 6th generation (6G) network. In an example method, a terminal device transmits, to a network device, a first message comprising a registration request. The registration request comprises a first ephemeral public key of the terminal device and a non- secured first connection identifier of the terminal device. The terminal device receives, from the network device, a second message comprising an authentication request. The authentication request comprises a second ephemeral public key of the network device and a concealed first content. The terminal device authenticates the network device based on a second key identifier of the network device comprised in the first content. The terminal device transmits, to the network device, a third message comprising an authentication response. The authentication response comprises a ciphered second content.
