Abstract: ABSTRACT: IoT-Based End-Point Irrigation Water Detection and Real-Time Farmer Alert System This invention describes an Internet-of-Things (IoT) based irrigation water flow monitoring and end-point detection system as shown in FIG – 1 for open farmland applications. The system is configured to detect the arrival of irrigation water at designated terminal locations using one or more sensing units capable of identifying soil moisture variation or water presence. Sensor data is processed through a microcontroller-based unit employing predefined threshold logic to determine irrigation completion. Upon confirmation, a communication module transmits real-time alerts to a remote user interface via wireless protocols including GSM, LoRa, Wi-Fi, or NB-IoT. The system further supports cloud-based integration for data storage and monitoring. A low-power architecture, optionally powered by solar energy, enables reliable operation in remote environments. The invention reduces manual inspection, prevents over- irrigation, conserves water resources, and improves irrigation efficiency, providing a cost-effective and scalable solution for sustainable agricultural water management.
