MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621079614 A) filed by Symbiosis International Deemed University on June 27, 2026, for Iot-Based Multi-Zone Cold Room Monitoring System With Automated Maintenance Alerting.

Inventors include Dr. N. A. Natraj; and Dr. Ca. Prasanna Kulkarni.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT IOT-BASED MULTI-ZONE COLD ROOM MONITORING SYSTEM WITH AUTOMATED MAINTENANCE ALERTING An IoT-based multi-zone cold room monitoring system (100) comprising wireless temperature and humidity sensor nodes (110), magnetic door contact sensor assemblies (120), and compressor current monitoring modules (130) communicating with an edge gateway (140). The edge gateway (140) performs threshold comparison, inter-zone differential temperature analysis, door-temperature correlation, and compressor health assessment. Door open events are correlated with subsequent temperature rise events to identify seal failures and excessive open duration. Multi-channel alerts are dispatched through an alert module (160). A cloud platform (150) maintains a food safety log and maintenance scheduling record. The system (100) provides proactive maintenance alerting before complete refrigeration equipment failure, and supports remote configuration of all operational parameters without hardware modification.
