Abstract: ABSTRACT IOT-BASED SMART BLOOD BANK STORAGE MONITORING SYSTEM WITH TEMPERATURE ZONE TRACKING An IoT-based smart blood bank storage monitoring system (100) comprising temperature sensor nodes (110) deployed across component-specific storage zones for whole blood and red blood cells, platelets, and fresh frozen plasma, each with independently configurable temperature thresholds. An RFID or barcode scanning module (120) logs each blood unit identifier and expiry date upon receipt into inventory. An edge processing unit (130) performs threshold comparison and signal analysis at configurable sampling intervals and actuates an alert and actuation module (140) upon detection of temperature excursions, near-expiry conditions, or low inventory levels. A cloud blood bank management platform (150) maintains historical records and enables remote parameter configuration. A real-time dashboard interface (160) displays current temperature status per zone, inventory counts, prioritised first-expiry-first-out transfusion recommendations, and pending alerts to blood bank personnel.
