Abstract: The present invention relates to an Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart door access control system configured to provide secure, automated, and remotely manageable door locking and unlocking operations through electronic authentication and wireless communication. The system comprises a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller, keypad authentication module, servo motor-operated locking mechanism, Wi-Fi communication interface, indicator units, and embedded control software integrated into a compact access control platform. The embedded controller continuously receives authentication credentials from the keypad or remote interface, verifies the entered password against stored authorization data, and automatically actuates the servo motor to unlock the door upon successful authentication. In the event of incorrect authentication, the system immediately denies access and may activate visual or audible warning indications. The integrated Wi-Fi communication module enables authorized users to remotely monitor door status, supervise access operations, and control the locking mechanism through internet-connected devices. The invention further supports automatic relocking after a predefined interval, thereby improving operational security and reducing the possibility of accidental unauthorized access. Owing to its modular architecture, the system may additionally support biometric authentication, RFID technology, facial recognition, cloud-based monitoring, and mobile applications. The disclosed invention provides an economical, reliable, scalable, and energy-efficient smart access control solution suitable for residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial environments requiring secure and intelligent door management
