MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641125046 A) filed by Aditya University on October 19, 2026, for Iot Based Smart Healthcare Monitoring System For Remote Patient Monitoring Using Wearable Sensors And Cloud Computing.

Inventors include Dr. Chintureena Thingom; and Dr. Thangjam Ravichandra.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an IoT-based smart healthcare monitoring system for remote patient monitoring using wearable sensors and cloud computing. The system comprises a wearable sensing module configured to acquire physiological parameters, a communication module configured to transmit measurement data, and a data acquisition module configured to associate the measurements with patient identifiers and timestamps. A data validation and processing module evaluates measurement completeness, plausibility, and signal quality. A cloud computing platform stores patient monitoring records and analyzes validated measurements against predefined thresholds or patient-specific reference ranges. An alert management module generates notifications when configured monitoring conditions are satisfied, while a remote monitoring interface enables authorized healthcare professionals and caregivers to access patient measurements, historical trends, and alerts. The system may further incorporate local data buffering to support monitoring continuity during temporary network interruptions and subsequent transmission of retained measurement records.
