MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611058137 A) filed by Vivekananda Institute Of Professional Studies - Technical Campus on May 07, 2026, for Iot-Based Smart Pan-Tilt Foam-Dart Turret With Automatic Vision Tracking.

Inventors include Mr. Raghav Tayal; Mr. Yugal Kumar; Mr. Raghav Sharma; Dr. Safina Shokeen; and Mr. Anil Tandon.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to remotely operated electromechanical targeting systems, and particularly to a system and corresponding method for wireless remote control and optional vision-based targeting of a pan-tilt foam-dart turret. The system includes a base support structure, a pan-tilt turret frame, an embedded control board assembly, a wireless communication module, interconnecting conductors, a pan actuator, a tilt actuator, a firing actuator, a controller board, a regulated power conversion module, and optionally an image capture device. A firing subsystem may include a motor driver and power distribution arrangement, an input power connector, an intermediate switching or protection element, a first motor, and a second motor. In manual mode, remotely received commands control pan, tilt, and firing operations. In automatic targeting mode, image-derived target position data are converted into horizontal and vertical corrective outputs for orienting the turret toward a detected target, with safety logic governing firing enablement.
