Abstract: The present invention relates to an IoT-driven smart energy grid with real-time demand and supply optimization for urban sustainability. The system comprises a smart data acquisition layer, communication layer, demand forecasting layer, supply optimization layer, renewable energy integration layer, consumer energy management layer, grid stability monitoring layer, and automated energy distribution layer. A plurality of IoT devices continuously collect energy consumption data, grid operational parameters, renewable energy generation information, and environmental conditions. The collected data is transmitted through communication networks and processed using machine learning algorithms to forecast future energy demand. Based on forecasted requirements, the system dynamically optimizes energy generation, storage, and distribution while integrating renewable energy resources and demand response mechanisms. Grid stability monitoring functions continuously detect faults, equipment degradation, overload conditions, and operational anomalies. Automated control mechanisms regulate energy distribution to improve efficiency, reduce transmission losses, enhance reliability, and support sustainable urban energy utilization. The invention enables intelligent energy management and resilient smart grid operation.
