MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641080237 A) filed by Sagar M Baligidad; Narendra N; and Cmr Institute Of Technology on June 30, 2026, for Iot-Enabled Intelligent System For Biogas Production, Monitoring, And Purification.
Inventors include Sagar M Baligidad; and Narendra N.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: This invention discloses an enhanced biogas production process utilizing a co-digestion feedstock comprising silkworm larval litter derived from V1 mulberry leaves and cashew nut fruit biomass. The process includes: (a) preparing the feedstock by mixing the biomass components in an optimized ratio; (b) introducing the prepared biodegradable feedstock into an anaerobic digester; (c) inoculating the slurry with suitable icroorganisms; (d) adding surface- modified aluminium oxide nanoparticles to improve digestion performance; (e) maintaining controlled anaerobic co-digestion conditions for microbial activity; and (f) collecting the biogas generated during the digestion process. The sequence of steps (a), (b), and (c) may be varied without affecting the process efficiency. The incorporation of aluminium oxide nanoparticles enhances microbial activity, improves substrate degradation, and increases biogas yield. This invention demonstrates an effective approach for converting agricultural residues into renewable energy through nanomaterial-assisted anaerobic co-digestion.
