The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: • The present invention relates to the development of an IoT-enabled IV pole monitoring system designed to track intravenous fluid levels and drip rates in real time using an Android application. IV therapy is a critical component of patient care, and manual monitoring of IV bottles can lead to delays, human error, and potential safety risks. • The proposed system integrates sensors attached to the IV pole, an IoT-based microcontroller for data transmission, a cloud platform for data handling, and an Android application for live monitoring. The system continuously collects IV fluid level and drip rate data and sends it to the cloud, where it is processed and displayed on the mobile application. • A guided interface allows medical staff to view real-time IV status, receive alerts when fluid levels become low, and detect drip stoppages. The platform provides visual indicators, realtime updates, and secure data communication to support efficient monitoring in hospital environments.
