MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411100923 A) filed by Amity University on December 19, 2024, for Iot-Enabled Multi-Sensor Device For Real-Time Detection Of Adulteration In Liquid Consumables.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a portable IoT-enabled device for the real time detection of adulteration in liquid consumables. It integrates a multi sensor array, including electrochemical, optical, and biosensors, to analyze the physical and chemical properties of liquid samples. Data from the 7 sensors is processed using machine learning algorithms, specifically Support Vector Machines (SVM), to accurately identify adulterants in common liquids such as milk, oil, honey, juice, and vinegar. The device delivers immediate feedback on the authenticity and quality of the liquid, with results displayed on the device interface and wirelessly transmitted to a smartphone or cloud platform for further analysis. This technology enables consumers, businesses, and regulatory agencies to detect food fraud and 14 ensure safety, offering a rapid, non-destructive, and user-friendly solution to monitor liquid food products in real time.
