Abstract: The present system discloses an IoT-Enabled Smart Biomedical Signal Monitoring System Using Edge Computing and Wireless Sensors for continuous, real-time monitoring of physiological parameters in healthcare environments. Wearable wireless sensors acquire multimodal biomedical signals including ECG, PPG, EEG, EMG, blood oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and body temperature. An edge computing gateway performs local signal preprocessing, feature extraction, and health anomaly detection using a hybrid CNN-BiLSTM deep learning model integrated with Explainable Artificial Intelligence for transparent clinical decision support. Critical events trigger immediate emergency alerts while encrypted patient summaries are securely transmitted to cloud servers for long-term storage, analytics, and integration with electronic health records. Lightweight blockchain-assisted authentication protects data integrity and device identity. The proposed invention significantly improves diagnostic accuracy, reduces latency and communication overhead, enhances patient privacy, and enables scalable, energy-efficient remote healthcare monitoring suitable for hospitals, home healthcare, telemedicine, elderly care, intensive care units, and smart healthcare ecosystems.
