MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611060006 A) filed by Gulzar Group Of Institutions on May 11, 2026, for Iot-Enabled Smart Energy Monitoring And Automated Load Protection System And A Method Thereof.
Inventors include Dharminder Singh; W. N. Mzizi; Tafadzwa A. Sadza; Sean Tokonyai; and Sheunesu Chiteka.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an IoT-enabled smart energy monitoring and automated load protection system (100) for monitoring electrical parameters, managing energy consumption, and protecting electrical loads from abnormal electrical conditions. The system (100) comprises an electrical supply input (102), an electrical parameter sensing unit (104), an embedded processing unit (106), a control unit (108), a load branch unit (110), and a switching unit (112). The electrical parameter sensing unit (104) senses electrical parameters associated with the electrical supply and connected loads, and the embedded processing unit (106) determines voltage, current, power consumption, and cumulative energy consumption. The control unit (108) generates control instructions for operating the switching unit (112) to disconnect non-essential load branches during abnormal consumption and voltage-sensitive load branches during unsafe voltage conditions. The system (100) further comprises a local indication unit (114), communication unit (116), remote monitoring platform (118), and user interface terminal (120). FIG. 1 is the reference figure.
