MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611065459 A) filed by Dr. Shabir Ahmad Sofi; and Dr. Saniya Zahoor on May 24, 2026, for Iot-Sensor Integrated System For Prediction Of Apple Crop Diseases.
Inventors include Dr. Shabir Ahmad Sofi; and Dr. Saniya Zahoor.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an IoT-based real-time apple crop disease prediction system and working method thereof, comprising IoT sensing devices (100) having sensor modules (110), microcontrollers (120), communication modules (130), and power modules (140), cluster head devices (200) with aggregation modules (210), and a fog computing server (300) including an AI/ML analytical module (310), image processing unit (320), and database/storage module (330), operatively connected to a user interface (400). The system continuously acquires environmental and visual data, performs preprocessing and aggregation, and executes machine learning- based analysis for early prediction of apple crop diseases prior to visible symptoms. The invention provides reduced latency through fog computing, improved prediction accuracy via multi-sensor and image data fusion, and optimized data transmission using clustering and aggregation, thereby enabling real-time decision support and enhanced agricultural productivity.
