Abstract: ABSTRACT IRON-RICH PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR TREATMENT OF IRON DEFICIENCY ANEMIA An iron-rich allo-polyherbal supplement formulation and method for preparation thereof for treatment of iron deficiency anemia are disclosed. The formulation comprises ferrous bis-glycinate, beetroot extract (Beta vulgaris), and moringa oleifera extract configured to synergistically enhance iron bioavailability and reduce gastrointestinal side effects associated with conventional iron supplements. The formulation further comprises pharmaceutically acceptable excipients including microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), starch, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide. The formulation is optimized using a Central Composite Design (CCD) under a Design of Experiments (DoE) framework to achieve desirable hardness, disintegration time, and cumulative drug release characteristics. The optimized immediate release tablet formulation exhibits enhanced dissolution, antioxidant activity, permeation, stability, and anti-anemic efficacy with improved therapeutic performance and patient compliance compared to conventional oral iron supplement formulations.
