Abstract: ABSTRACT KNOWLEDGE-DRIVEN COGNITIVE THREAT ANTICIPATION SYSTEM FOR PREDICTIVE INSIDER CYBERSECURITY RISK DETECTION A knowledge-driven cognitive threat anticipation system (100) for predictive insider cybersecurity risk detection comprises a data collection module (110) collecting user activity data including login records, file access history, network usage logs, and command execution records. A knowledge representation module (120) converts the user activity data into structured knowledge representing user activities, user roles, and system resources in a relational format. A knowledge base (130) stores organizational security policies, user roles and access permissions, historical user behavior patterns, and predefined security rules. A rule-based reasoning engine (140) applies rule-based logic to analyze user activities against stored policies and rules, evaluating whether user actions violate organizational security policies or deviate from normal behavior patterns. A threat anticipation module (150) calculates a risk score indicating insider threat probability. An alert and response module (160) generates alerts and triggers preventive actions when the risk score exceeds a threshold.
