This study focuses on designing a low-cost and lightweight Lazy Boy chair without compromising durability or comfort. By utilizing innovative materials such as recycled plastics, lightweight aluminium alloys, and high- density foam, the chair achieves a balance between cost-efficiency and performance. The research emphasizes structural optimization to reduce weight while maintaining strength, as well as modular design principles to simplify assembly and reduce production costs. Prototype testing evaluates key parameters such as load-bearing capacity, comfort, and material sustainability. Comparative analyses with conventional Lazy Boy chairs highlight the economic and environmental advantages of the proposed design. Preliminary results demonstrate that the lightweight and cost-effective chair meets consumer needs while aligning with sustainable manufacturing practices.
