The limb lengthening device comprises a moving assembly, which comprises a threaded shaft coupled to the slidable inner assembly, a rotatable element threadedly engaged with the threaded shaft and the outer sleeve, where rotation of the rotatable element causes linear displacement of the slidable inner assembly inside the outer sleeve, and where one complete rotation of the rotatable element corresponds to predetermined linear displacement of the slidable inner assembly. The limb lengthening device comprises a plurality of bone fixation elements extending from the slidable inner assembly, where each bone fixation element of the plurality of bone fixation elements is configured to attach with a bone and bone tissue when in operation.
