MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621059231 A) filed by Rudved Automobile India Private Limited on May 09, 2026, for Load-Adaptive Ai-Based Battery Management System For Forklifts With Predictive Control.

Inventors include Mr. Prashant Baban Sawant; and Mrs. Sujata Prashant Sawant.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT LOAD-ADAPTIVE AI-BASED BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR FORKLIFTS WITH PREDICTIVE CONTROL A forklift system (100) comprising a battery pack (110) and a battery management system (130) operatively coupled to a forklift control unit (120) is disclosed. The forklift control unit (120) acquires real-time mechanical workload parameters including torque demand (122), lift height (124), and hydraulic pressure (126). The battery management system (130), through a BMS controller (138), dynamically regulates cell balancing (132), discharge current (134), and thermal regulation (136) based on the received parameters. The system further includes a predictive degradation module configured to estimate battery aging using historical workload data and charge-discharge cycles, enabling adaptive control of battery operation. Charging current is also adjusted based on prior workload intensity. A regenerative energy capture mechanism enables recovery of energy during load descent. The battery pack (110) is housed in a vibration-isolated structure with thermal barriers and venting pathways, and interlock sensors ensure safe installation, enhancing efficiency, safety, and battery longevity. Fig. 1 will be the reference figure.
