Abstract: The present invention relates to a location-based mobile application system designed to automatically manage smartphone sound profiles using geofencing technology. The system allows users to define silent zones by specifying geographic coordinates and a radius around locations such as libraries, hospitals, classrooms, and meeting rooms. When the smartphone enters a predefined silent zone, the Android application AutoMute automatically switches the device to silent mode, while the iOS application SoundPilot sends a notification prompting the user to switch to silent mode. When the device exits the silent zone, the system restores normal sound mode or sends a corresponding notification. The system operates using continuous background location monitoring and a zone detection algorithm that calculates the distance between the device's current location and stored silent zones. This invention enhances user convenience, reduces disturbances in quiet environments, and provides an efficient automated sound management solution for modern smartphones.
