MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647081348 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated on July 01, 2026, for Low Energy Broadcast Control Information Flow For Synchronizing A Broadcaster Device And One Or More Peripheral Devices.
Inventors include Goyal, Giriraj; Kidiyoor, Nitin Raghavendra; Agarwal, Vishal; and Shekhar, Ravi Number.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for Low Energy (LE) broadcast control information flow for synchronizing a broadcaster device and one or more peripheral devices. Some aspects more specifically relate to how a broadcaster device may indicate whether a control sub-event of a broadcast isochronous group (BIG) event is associated with vendor-specific communication and a direction of transmission associated with the control sub-event. The broadcaster device may provide such indications via packets sent during broadcast isochronous stream (BIS) events of the BIG event preceding the control sub-event. In some implementations, the broadcaster device may use a control sub-event transmission flag (CSTF) set equal to a value to indicate that an upcoming control sub-event is associated with vendor-specific communication and may use at least a portion of a control sub- event sequence number (CSSN) field to indicate whether the direction of transmission is broadcaster-to-peripheral or is peripheral-to- broadcaster.
