Abstract: The present invention discloses a low-energy chemical recycling system for converting plastic waste into reusable liquid hydrocarbons and gaseous fuel products through catalytic depolymerization. The system comprises a feed preparation unit, feed hopper, metered feeding mechanism, catalytic depolymerization reactor, heating chamber, heat recovery exchanger, condenser, liquid product collection tank, gas recovery chamber, catalyst recovery unit, and a control and monitoring unit. Plastic waste is shredded and continuously fed into the reactor, where it undergoes catalytic depolymerization at temperatures between approximately 250°C and 380°C under oxygen-limited conditions. Hydrocarbon vapours pass through a heat recovery exchanger before condensation, while non-condensable gases are recovered and reused as supplementary fuel. The catalyst is separated, regenerated, and recycled for subsequent operations. The invention provides reduced energy consumption, improved catalyst utilization, enhanced resource recovery, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and efficient processing of mixed plastic waste, making it suitable for laboratory, pilot-scale, and industrial recycling applications.
