MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617084423 A) filed by Ofinno, LLC on July 09, 2026, for Low Power Wake-Up Signal Reception.

Inventors include Zhou, Hua; Cirik, Ali Cagatay; Dinan, Esmael Hejazi; Keating, Ryan; Jeon, Hyoungsuk; Prasad, Gautham; and Khoshkholgh Dashtaki, Mohammad Ghadir.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: A method can include receiving, by a wireless device from a base station, one or more first radio resource control (RRC) messages requesting radio access capability information of the wireless device. The method can also include transmitting to the base station one or more second RRC messages including parameters of the radio access capability information of power saving (PS) operation. The parameters indicate that the wireless device supports configuration of a low power wake-up signal (LP-WUS) associated with a discontinuous reception (DRX) for a cell and that the wireless device does not support configuration of the LP-WUS associated with a downlink control information (DCI) with cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits being scrambled by a power saving radio network temporary identifier (PS-RNTI) for the cell. The method further includes receiving from the base station one or more third RRC messages including configuration parameters of the LP-WUS and of the DRX.
