MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511007303 A) filed by Schneider Electric India Private Limited on January 29, 2025, for Lubricant Dispenser For Switchgear Application.
Inventor includes Shariq, Sheikh Mohammad.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lubrication dispensing system for switchgear applications, designed to optimize the application of lubricants to O-rings (3) used in assemblies. The system includes a sensor gun (4) with a sensing unit (4a) for measuring the dimensions of the O-ring groove (5) on the tank (1), as shown in Figure 2. The microcontroller (4b) processes this data and calculates the precise amount of lubricant required, which is displayed on the display unit (4c). A dispensing signal is sent via the wire (4d) to a lubricant distributing unit, ensuring accurate application. Figure 3 illustrates the assembly of the tank (1) with the O-ring (3) and tank cover (2). Figure 4 provides a schematic diagram of the sensing gun, detailing its components. This system reduces lubricant wastage, enhances assembly efficiency, and improves the reliability of switchgear systems by ensuring optimal sealing performance. FIGURES 2 AND 4
