Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of an apparatus for predicting and surveillance of crime using machine learning algorithms and graph topologies for smart cities. The device is made up of multi-source data acquisition apparatus, a preprocessing apparatus, graph topology apparatus, machine learning prediction apparatus, and alert communication apparatus. The apparatus combines surveillance data, IoT data, geographic location data, and crime data to derive graph-based relationship models and predictive analytics on crime occurrences. Graph Neural Network and anomaly detection algorithms are used for prediction of criminal zones and anomalous activities. The apparatus further includes generation of crime heatmap and intelligent surveillance. FIG.1
