Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an automated system for detecting inauthentic accounts on social media platforms using machine learning techniques. The system collects user profile information, posts, activities, and interaction data from social media platforms. The collected data is pre-processed to remove noise and improve data quality for analysis. Feature extraction techniques are applied to identify behavioural, textual, and account-based characteristics. A machine learning classification model is used to distinguish authentic accounts from fake or suspicious accounts accurately. The system further performs behavioural analysis to detect abnormal activities and spam patterns. Detection results are generated automatically with alert notifications for suspicious accounts. The invention improves the accuracy and efficiency of fake account detection while reducing manual monitoring efforts. The proposed system supports real-time monitoring and large-scale social media analysis. The invention is scalable, cost- effective, and suitable for enhancing online platform security. In another embodiment, the invention incorporates adaptive learning mechanisms that continuously update the machine learning model using newly identified account behaviours and emerging threat patterns. The system may also utilize network interaction analysis and graph-based techniques to identify coordinated fake account activities and bot networks. The proposed invention can be integrated with cybersecurity infrastructures, content moderation systems, and digital trust management platforms for improved social media protection.
