Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of a machine learning enabled smart city water quality pollution monitoring and control system, which is intended to provide a reliable solution in terms of real-time monitoring, forecasting and control of water pollution at smart cities' water sources. The innovation involves IoT water quality pollution sensors that will automatically gather data on water parameters, such as the pH level, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, temperature, and the presence of pollutants at water sources such as lakes, rivers, reservoirs, and distribution systems. Afterward, all gathered information will be analyzed by a machine learning algorithm running on a cloud computing platform that will recognize contamination patterns and forecast any water pollution incidents. The proposed invention will provide smart city water managers with recommendations on what actions need to be taken to ensure water quality maintenance. FIG.1
