Abstract: The present invention provides a data analytics system designed for smart cities, focused on traffic flow prediction through machine learning, is presented. This system comprises a data collection component that collects traffic-related information from urban monitoring sensors, paired with a data preprocessing component that cleans, normalizes, and extracts relevant features from the gathered data. A model training segment is responsible for training predictive algorithms utilizing historical traffic datasets. Furthermore, a machine learning-based traffic prediction module employs these trained models to anticipate future traffic congestion and vehicle flow rates. An evaluation section also measures the accuracy of predictions and verifies model performance to ensure dependable analytics for smart city traffic management. FIG.1
