Abstract: The present invention provides a magnetically centred thumbstick, particularly for use with a handheld device (101) having a touch sensitive interface such as a touchscreen (102). The thumbstick comprises first and second parts (103,301) for positioning on opposite sides of the touch sensitive interface (102). The first part (103) providing an input component configured to slide across the touch sensitive interface (102) in contact with the interface (102), and the second part (301) is securable in a set position. The first part (103) is magnetically attracted to the second part (301) such that the first part (103) is urged towards alignment with the second part (301).
