Abstract: The Electric Dum Cooking Pot is a modern cooking device designed to prepare traditional dum biryani using an electric heating system instead of the conventional charcoal dum method. In traditional dum cookin2, heat is applied from both the bottom and the top using sealed vessels and charcoal placed on the lid. This project proposes a pot with a top-mounted electric heating coil and insulated body to recreate the same slow and uniform heat distribution required for dum cooking. The system helps maintain proper temperature, trap steam inside the vessel, and ensure even cooking of rice and meat layers. The main objective of this design is to provide a safe, smoke-free, and energy-efficient alternative to the traditional dum process while preserving the authentic flavor and aroma of biryani. The electric dum cooking pot reduces manual effort, improves cooking consistency, and can be easily used in homes and small restaurants.
