Abstract: ABSTRACT MANAGING SOFTWARE UPDATES IN VEHICLES The present disclosure relates to methods and systems for managing software updates in a vehicle (104). The discloses method (300) includes, upon receiving a software update, assessing (302) parameters 5 corresponding to a current state of the vehicle (104). The parameters include a current slope angle of the vehicle (104). Further, the method (300) includes, if the current slope angle exceeds a predetermined threshold, assessing (304) a criticality level of the software update. The criticality level is indicative of a predefined measure of relevance of the software update to 10 operation of the vehicle (104).
