MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511008935 A) filed by Sanskriti University on February 03, 2025, for Manual Handbrake Lever Operating Device For Four-Wheeler Vehicle.

Inventors include Dr. Suyash Kumar Srivastava; and Bhawana Saraswat.

Abstract: A manual handbrake lever operating device for four-wheeler vehicle, comprising a semi-circular body 101 mounted over the manually operated handbrake lever of a four-wheeler vehicle, multiple ultrasonic sensors strategically located along the inner periphery of the body 101 to detect shape of the handbrake lever, multiple pneumatic links 108 installed along the inner periphery of the body 101, connected to a semi-circular motorized slider 109 to extend outward from the body 101, a pair of L-shaped telescopic bars 102 integrated into the device's body 101, each attached to a plate to extend outward from the body 101, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 104 capture multiple images of the handbrake lever to detect location of the button on the handbrake lever, an L-shaped rod 105 is installed in the device's body 101, configured with a block 106 at its end, connected via an electromagnetic spring 107 to expand.
