Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a manual mowing device (100) and method (200) for manually cutting vegetation over a surface. The device (100) includes a plurality of reel units (102), a coupling arrangement (104), at least one supporting wheel (106) and a towing handle (108). The reel units (102) are arranged sequentially in a series configuration along with a direction of movement. The coupling arrangement (104) is configured to mechanically interconnect adjacent reel units (102) to form an elongated reel assembly. The supporting wheel (106) is associated with each reel unit (102) for supporting movement of the reel assembly over the surface. The towing handle (108) is coupled to the reel assembly and configured to enable a user to tow reel assembly across the surface. The reel units (102) are configured to sequentially engage the same portion of surface during a single towing pass to perform repeated cutting actions.
