MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617093498 A) filed by Resonac Corporation on August 01, 2026, for Material For Aluminum Alloy Forging, Aluminum Alloy Forged Product, And Method For Manufacturing Same.

Inventor includes Arayama Takuya.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: This material for aluminum alloy forging has an alloy composition which contains Cu within a range of 0.25-0.55 mass%, Mg within a range of 0.85-1.25 mass%, Si within a range of 1.02-1.4 mass%, Mn within a range of 0.55-1.0 mass%, Fe within a range of 0.32-0.65 mass%, Zn within a range of at most 0.25 mass%, Cr within a range of 0.050-0.30 mass%, Ti within a range of 0.01-0.1 mass%, B within a range of 0.0010-0.030 mass%, and Zr within a range of 0.0010-0.050 mass%, and in which the ratio Fe/Mn of the Fe content with respect to the Mn content is 0.3-1.1 in mass ratio, and the remaining portion is Al and unavoidable impurities. The material structure of the material for aluminum alloy forging before being heated when plastic working is to be performed does not have, in crystal grains thereof, an Al-Mn- based compound having a maximum diameter of 0.1 µm or more.
