MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411105094 A) filed by Schneider Electric India Private Limited on December 31, 2024, for Mechanical Interlock System For Ensuring Safety In Power Supply Applications.

Inventors include Kapu, Nagarjun; and Ghosh, Somnath.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to mechanical interlock system (100) for ensuring safety in power supply applications. System (100) includes baseplate (202) comprising one or more slots (204) corresponding to one or more Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) ratings (102), for enabling an actuator assembly actuation. System (100) includes the actuator assembly (402) coupled to the baseplate (202), and configured to pass through the one or more slots (204). System (100) includes rocker mechanism (302) coupled to the baseplate (202), to enable mechanical interlocking. System (100) includes see-saw component (602) coupled to baseplate (202), to interact with rocker mechanism (302). System (100) includes MCCB mounting plate (802) coupled to the baseplate (202), to align the MCCB (102) alongside of actuator assembly (402) through one or more corresponding slots in MCCB (102). System (100) ensures MCCB (102) is operating in a switched-on state for ensuring safety in power supply applications.
