Abstract: ABSTRACT “MECHANIZED BEUSHENING EQUIPMENT FOR DIRE-SEECT DED PADDY FIELDS WITH TRIPOD CROP- SAFE SUPPORT” A lightweight, s-elfpropelled mechanized beushening equipment for direct-seeded rice (DSR) fields is disclosed. The equipment performs beushening in standing 20–35-day-old DSR crops under waterlogged conditions. It comprises a main chassis/frame (101) supporting a 4 HP engine (105), PTO shaft (106), and tripod ground support system consisting solely of a central drive wheel (102) under the operator platform (104) and two lateral floating trays (103), with no rear ground-contacting support behind the plough assembly, preventing recompaction of loosened soil. Power transfers via chain-sprocket (107–109) on common drive shaft/axle (110) for low-RPM high-torque propulsion. Trays (103) apply controlled line pressure for 30–45° reversible seedling bending with gravitropic recovery in 3–5 days. The central wheel (102) selectively crushes misaligned seedlings to redefine rows during cross-operation. A rear plough assembly with tines (113) connects via four-bar parallelogram linkage (114–117) referenced to the tripod plane for constant 10–15 cm depth despite sinkage. Enables single-operator, crop-safe, efficient beushening in smallholder fields.
