Abstract: Disclosed is a mediation mapping appliance for assisting mediation referral review. The appliance comprises a case document interface receiving pleading records, application records, correspondence records and order-sheet records associated with a dispute matter. A processing housing carries a processor and a memory. A document preparation unit converts the records into segmented text portions with source identifiers. An extraction unit extracts relief items, admission items, dispute items, arrangement items and caution items from the segmented text portions. An issue map unit classifies the extracted items into admitted matters, negotiable subjects and contested factual allegations. A review interface displays a source-linked issue map before a referral decision is recorded, so that the referral review is supported by classified, source-traceable dispute content.
