Abstract: The invention relates to a metasurface-integrated multi-antenna system for vehicle-mounted base stations. The system features a plurality of dielectric substrates (102) arranged side-by-side in a hollow, box-like configuration to mount onto a vehicle’s exterior. Fabricated on each substrate is an N x N metasurface element array and an N/2 x N/2 parasitic-loaded dipole antenna (PLDA) element array. The PLDA elements (106) comprise asymmetric crossed dipoles with delay lines (106E) for circular polarization and are sequentially rotated to suppress mutual coupling below -19 dB. Geometrically skewed, H-shaped parasitic elements (106F) introduce capacitive and inductive loading to create equivalent LC resonant circuits, establishing a higher-order resonant band at 5.8 GHz. The crossed dipoles excite a fundamental band from 2.39 GHz to 2.46 GHz. The integrated metasurface elements utilize slotted conductive square rings (104A) to achieve a 0° reflection phase at 2.45 GHz, optimizing radiation efficiency and impedance matching.
