MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541009614 A) filed by Tejas Networks Limited on February 05, 2025, for Method And Apparatus For Determining Optimum Modulation (m) Value In Wireless Communication Systems.
Inventor includes Sushmita Ghosh.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING OPTIMUM MODULATION (M) VALUE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS Disclosed herein is a method and apparatus for determining optimum Modulation (M) value in a wireless communication system. In the method, when channel state information (CSI) is available, the M value is dynamically determined, either by a first network node or a second network node, based on estimated downlink or uplink channel conditions. In cases where CSI is not available, the optimum M value is determined, by the base station, based on parameters such as signal strength, block error rate (BLER), and data rate and latency, which are determined by using UL signal received from wireless communication device.
