Abstract: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method of decoding by a decoder is provided. The method may include determining, by a processor, an intra prediction mode is enabled for a current block. The method may include, in response to an intra prediction area being fully reconstructed and the intra prediction area being located in a same slice or a same tile as the current block, performing, by the processor, an intra prediction to identify a prediction block based on the intra prediction area and the intra prediction mode. The method may include decoding, by the processor, the current block based on the prediction block. An entirety of the intra prediction area may be used to perform intra prediction for all intra prediction modes.
