Abstract: METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MOBILITY MANAGEMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORKS A user equipment (UE) and method for managing mobility within a wireless communication network utilize synchronization signal block (SSB) configurations to facilitate cell transitions. The UE receives configuration information for a mobility target consisting of one or more component cells within a carrier aggregation group, where at least one component cell is associated with a specific SSB configuration. Upon receiving a cell switch command from a network node that includes an SSB configuration identifier (SSB- configID), the UE determines the corresponding component cell of the mobility target mapped to that identifier. The UE then initiates a cell switch from a source cell to the mobility target using at least one uplink channel resource of the determined component cell. This allows for precise, configuration-linked identification of target resources during a carrier aggregation switch. (FIG. 16)
