Abstract: METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UPDATING APPLICATIONS IN A SYSTEM The present disclosure describes a method (500) and an apparatus (202) for updating applications in a system. The method comprises writing (504) data packets into a plurality of memory blocks and processing each memory block to compute a plurality of hash values. The method comprises determining (506) a combined hash value based on the computed hash values and determining whether the combined hash value corresponds to any row of a hash table. Upon determining that the combined hash value corresponds to a particular row of the table, the method comprises parsing (510) through the particular row to classify the memory blocks into corrupted and uncorrupted memory blocks. The method comprises partially updating (512) the application to a new version for the uncorrupted memory blocks and maintaining the application in the current version for the corrupted memory blocks.
