Abstract: Provided is a method for manufacturing a stator, said method making it possible to easily form a power line by bending a coil end. In this method for manufacturing a stator 1, among a plurality of coil ends 9 of a segmented coil 7 retained on a stator core 3, an outermost-periphery first coil end 9Aa is bent into a power line 11. The method involves the following: a second coil end 9b adjacent to the inner side of the first coil end 9Aa in the radial direction of the stator core 3 is bent such that a base end 10b thereof is inclined radially outward and a tip end 10a thereof is parallel with the axial direction; the first coil end 9Aa is retained in an inclined state parallel with the inclination of the base end 10b of the second coil end 9b; and by gripping and moving the tip end 10a of the inclined first coil end 9Aa, the first coil end 9Aa is bent into the power line 11.
